The grounds and lobby area are very nice- the lobby in particular is done up very well. Our room was overall nice, there were some misses. Our beds didn't have any of the decorative pillows or throws you see in nice hotels (and in fact many photos for this hotel) and there were some neglected coffee drips down the bathroom cabinetry.

There was a complimentary wine tasting the evening we arrived, which was a great way to settle into our stay in Sonoma. The check-in process was easy and the woman who checked us in took a lot of time recommending restaurants to us.

Breakfast was included in our rate and was very nice- we were able to order off the regular menu and just charge it to the room. However, we were a bit confused about the tipping situation- no one at check-in had mentioned whether it would be included as well or show up as an additional charge. So when the Hyatt systems were down at check-out and we had to leave without being able to see whether they were included separately until our bill was emailed to us, it was a little inconvenient.

Before and after participating in a half marathon (we were part of a large group), a good night's sleep is key. Beds, linens, toiletries etc here are excellent! The staff is awesome across the board. Coffee and water available in the lobby....very clean... nice sized rooms and bathrooms. The firepit and pool area are nice extras.

Room Tip: South side facing rooms do not overlook the firepit and are more quiet. Don't forget your bathing suit; the pool is nice

It's an okay hotel. I didn't expect too much from it and it met my expectations. :/

Only thing nearby of interest to tourists is the Charles Schultz Museum, everything else requires a bit of a drive.

Worst thing was finding a few hair on my pillow. Other than that, it's a fine place to rest, nothing great, nothing terrible.

My room was a bit dated and interestingly poorly implemented (i.e. Tile poorly installed) but it was in the process of being renovated. Rooms were clean and quite. The hotel is only a couple of floors and spread out - so if you are doing a lot of business you may want to ask for rooms close to each other or the same wing. Breakfast doesn't start in the restaurant until 6:30 AM - too late for us to get breakfast before our business meeting. Room service had really limited menu and the hotel restaurant was only available by going outside - but the weather was great so it worked out fine for us.

Hotel was okay in terms of comfort and convenience. The beds were comfortable enough and the hotel served our purpose of providing a place to rest our heads in between activities. It looks as if the hotel may be going through some renovations soon. Staff was very friendly, with a few minor exceptions.
