Description: A San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area Top 100 Restaurant for four years, Willi's Wine Bar's classic roadhouse appeal captures the casual, laid-back nature of Sonoma County Wine Country. Tourists and locals feel equally at home enjoying a quick bite or lingering over a glass of wine. The menu at Willi's features international small plates, some wildly inventive and others comfortingly familiar. Staff is eager to help create perfect pairings with wines from the extensive wine list, many by local producers. Most wines are available in twoounce tastes as well as by the glass or bottle..

We chose this restaurant per the reviews, while on our honeymoon in Santa Rosa. We both had been wine tasting all day, and were in need of a small bite to eat. The food was fabulous! We started with the Scallop Dumplings and the Filet Sliders, yum! We also had a great cheese and meat spread that was wonderful.

The waitress seemed to be a little short tempered and snotty with us. The place was busy, but we were a little turned off. The whole idea of tapas is appealing to me, but the atmosphere seemed very forced and pretentious.

If you like a small, tasty bites and great wine, you will enjoy! Hope you can handle the impatient wait staff and intimidating atmosphere!

Enjoyed Willis twice last year and could not wait to enjoy their small plates to share and fantastic selection of wines again this year. 6 of us shared plates and plates of shrimp, fois gras, baked oysters, ahi tuna and other succulent delights. Accompanied by
fine wines and followed by a delish dessert. A lovely evening and outdoor dining. Exceptional!

I must admit, I am not always crazy about small plates. I had the scalloped dumplings and my wife had the salad. We were not crazy about the choices. Some too spicey. Nothing wrong here, just wasn't for us. Guess we were in the mood to have a bigger meal where you didn't have to put a couple small plates together. Too much to choose from to match the hunger of the moment.

At the recommendation from a winery representative, had dinner at Willi's with our friends. Generous number of tapas selections, and the variety and tastes were amazing. Wait staff was very attentive and the food delivery was well-paced. It was well worth the visit.

We were in the Sonoma area for vacation. Our Concierge, Chris at the Fountaingrove Inn suggested Willis. It was so good that we dined there two nights in a row.
The wine list is what one would expect in Sonoma with a few suprises.
The small plates are very creative and very tasty. I wish there was a WIllis in my town.
