Food selection and prep/presentation was everything you would expect from wine country dining. We have taken cooking classes from John Ash and he represents his cooking and restaurant in an approachable friendly way.
The server, however seemed way more interested in the 8 top next to us though than in the 3 of us...both in demeanor and time spent. A bit of a downer. The other downer was our check in process. I received 2 emails and a phone call reminding me of the reservation was super. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I checked in and was told it would be a few minutes. 10 minutes later a different hostess questioned whether I had a reservation at all in a way that connoted "ah you are not a regular and not staying at the Inn so we will get to you". Had to show the reservation from my phone. (All the while the restaurant had quite a few open tables in sight.)
