I played this private course as the guest of a member, and was delighted with the experience in every way. The course is challenging, particularly so for women since it's fairly long from the forward tees. That said, it's a fair test - not tricked-up, so good shots are rewarded - and the course was in virtually perfect condition. I particularly liked the mix of yardages and layouts on the par 3's. There's a practice chipping/bunker area as well as a range - and the speed of the practice green was actually similar to the ones on the course, which isn't always the case.
The staff was outstanding, and made me feel totally welcome.
If you don't know a member, I believe the club has an arrangement with the Fountaingrove Inn for guests to play, and members of private clubs who are visiting the area might check whether there's a reciprocal arrangement.
