“Amazing planes, amazing answers for students!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2012

Dropping in on a museum with a horde of students can be unsettling for most. At Pacific Coast Air Museum they not only stepped up...they stepped up and out of this world! I brought a group of 12 8th graders for a spontaneous visit to learn more about flight and the every growing collection at this museum. We not only had a docent led tour, but both Barney and Dan(?, who let us in a couple of aircraft), but were allowed into several aircraft as a special treat. It is rare that this is allowed and the museum will only allow this usually on special days. Having two very knowledgeable and enthusiastic docents that went the extra distance to explain both the science and the history behind the aircraft was awesome.

Thanks to Dottie (sp?) and the rest of the crew for also making this a great part of our learning adventure of the day!

“Old airplanes on display”

If you have someone who is a pilot and like old planes, fun to wander around and check them out. KIds will have fun looking around as well. Takes about an hour to see everything.

“Soar into Pacific Coast Air Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2012

This museum contains a bit of our nation's history---many planes, helicopters and most important of all, a jet that was actually a part of the 9/11 attacks. I was lucky enough to attend the dedication ceremony on the 2011 anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It was a very heartfelt and emotional ceremony. I felt honored to be there and encourage you to visit this museum to see not only the historical jet, but the other fascinating exhibits permanently housed there. There is also a cute little gift shop available. The best thing is that you can actually walk amongst the huge planes and touch them, get in some and experience it all on a more personal level. Support the efforts of those who serve our country.
