“Great gem in Santa Rosa”
Reviewed January 18, 2014 via mobile

We happened upon Jack & Tony's on a Friday night. We were ecstatic that we were seated right away. Our server was excellent & very knowledgable on wine and food selections. We were just looking for a light dinner and the spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was perfect. I'm not sure if I ever enjoyed a salad so much! My husband had the Dungeness crab bisque and enjoyed it very much. The waitress suggested a very tasty Cabernet that was very reasonably priced. Our dinner guest ordered the homemade ginger beer and the rotisserie chicken with butternut squash and was very complimentary of both. Nice atmosphere where we were able to comfortably talk even with the bar in the back. The two rooms are separated which is nice. Would definitely visit again!

“Good Pub Striving for More”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Jack and Tony's is a nice upscale pub type place that seems to want to be more. The food is gastropub inspired but fails to meet the high standard suggested by pricing . The service is friendly and informed although a little rushed as is often the case in the US. The local wine list is good but not extensive, although their whiskey list is extensive and impressive.

“Nothing special....”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Typical modern tavern/bistro menu and atmosphere. Food was good but not exceptional. The service was prompt and friendly on a very slow Tuesday evening. In nine days in the area we didn't feel the urge to repeat though.

“Go for great food and service, stay for the whiskey”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

All the recommendations are true. A small, beautifully prepared menu of flawless food. Really knowledgeable and attentive staff plus a small wine list that works. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening. The restaurant atmosphere is very relaxed when compared to the bar.

The bar was fun. The whiskey list, truly impressive. I'm a whiskey buff who, according to my wife, owns too many bottles. This place has some great connections for rare whiskies at reasonable prices. The bar people are enthusiasts who REALLY know their stuff.

We'll be back and make sure to stay within walking distance.

“I wish I lived here for the bacon wrapped scallops and risotto.”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

While staying at the La Rose Hotel, we walked around the corner to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered the bacon wrapped Sea Scallops with creamy risotto & apple cider reduction (OMG - I want the recipe and I am so glad the waitress suggested we order the larger lunch portion instead of the smaller appetizer portion) and the tortilla soup. Was a wonderful dinner.
