Got a Travelzoo Groupon for two nights mid-week which include two free wine tastings and $50 off dinner at John Ash plus two glasses of wine. Perfect local for wine tasting...great restaurant and beautiful and spacious room.

Loved our stay. Had a nice clean room with fireplace, cozy bed, and large tub. Big closet. Had cookies and wine waiting in the room. The restaurant on site John Ash & Co have a lovely menu & happy hour. The concierge has tickets for vineyards to try. Definitely try there vineyard Ferrari Carano, and the breakfast on site. I could eat breakfast there everyday. We were too warm to enjoy the hot tub. No pool but don't want to spend my vacation at the hotel. We liked the location because it was between the sonoma center attractions/ vineyards and the northern sonoma county vineyards.

Room Tip: Small enough a place that all the rooms are great.

We stayed 5 nights in an upstairs room. Our balcony overlooked the breakfast area and grounds. This was definitely the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in- no slamming doors or early morning maid service. Coffee was available downstairs at our convenience. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. The room was very clean and spacious. Although the decor was 1980's ish it was a very comfortable room. Breakfast on the patio was delicious with a wide variety of choices. This hotel proved to be a great location for traveling between Sonoma, Healdsburg, and Guerneville. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you don't mind stairs, the upstairs rooms have vaulted ceilings and nice views.

Beautiful property, excellent service, perfect location! It's the ideal place for a romantic getaway. We found it easy to explore the surrounding wineries and countryside from this location. The restaurant was also amazing! We would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a fireplace, overlooking the vineyards!

We had the pleasure of staying here for a night during our honeymoon, great place, with an exceptional restaurant located on this gorgeous property we had a great experience at the bar, and also they have a great happy hour with great value and food. sat out on our balcony and enjoyed a bottle of wine together with my wife, views and atmosphere were spectacular.

Thanks for a memorable time

We purchased a travelzoo deal and stayed at the inn for 2-evenings. We gave the inn our credit card for any charges that may incur which is usual for all hotels/inns. We checked our account the next day and found a $598 hold on our account! We called the resort to get resolution and was told it would be taken care of and they would call us back asap, unfortunately we had to call them back 8-hours later to follow-up, very disappointed on the lack of urgency or care here. We then checked our account the next day and another hold was put on for $122, this now was totaling over $700+ of holds on our account. Again, had to call for resolution and the inn owned the mistake (again) and assured that we would be taken care of. We then checked out and received a paper statement of charges upon checkout which was $0 but unfortunately was charged $72 so again another error (a total of 3). With all the inn's errors, the manager never spoke to us once and promised to call us back and never did. Extremely disappointed in the cold and very snobby customer service. The resort is pretty but not at all a premier spot, it is right next to a power plant which is not visually relaxing and the restaurant is mediocre with extremely high prices, you are not getting what you pay for.

I'm so sorry, this was unfortunate. The front desk manager addressed this issue as soon as you brought it to his attention and faxed a letter to your bank confirming the reversal. I left you two phone messages explaining that the release was now up to your bank and even re-faxed the letter to your bank the day you checked out. Once the Inn either reverses an authorization or checks out a guest, our system releases all authorizations. The bank can take up to one week to release it's hold which is why we sent the letter and offered to talk to your bank directly. Because you did not respond to either of my calls I assumed the bank had released the hold on your account. As to the $72 charge, this was not an additional charge but the only charge for which your husband signed. It covered the third person and a bottle of wine you purchased. I'm truly sorry that this happened and do wish we could have spoken so I could have eased your mind and perhaps helped speed up the bank process. Sue

We stayed at Vintners having never been to California, let alone Napa and Sonomo. Our room was a lovely quiet room with a balcony. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring the area. Staff are friendly and really helpful when it comes to where to go and how to get there. Breakfast was very worthwhile, cooked to order, and served out on the terrace in a really relaxing informal style. The key surprise for us was just how lovely the restaurant on site was - lovely bar and bar food, and then fabulous quality fare from the al a carte (don't miss it!).
