This hotel is difficult to review. There are almost no hotels in Santa Monica which are so close to everything (3rd St Promenade & Pier) like this hotel. And this is what you pay for. The service is okay, but the rooms have some disadvantages which are important to know: the electric sockets in the rooms were quite hidden, difficult to reach and almost all with loose connection. We had a hard time charging our phones. Finally, we found a working socket behind the bed so that we had to move it half a meter away from the wall. As the rooms are quite small we had to climb over the bed then to come from one side to another.
Another negative aspect of the rooms was the "view". We had not booked any view so I did not expect anything nice, but in this case, there were the air condition engines of the whole building (?) (looked like a little power plant) directly in front of the window. Apparently the half of all rooms of the hotel have the view on that side. And actually, the view is no problem. But it is very loud making noise 24 hours and even if the window is closed. So, you hear it clearly when you try to fall asleep.More
