My family stayed at Le Merigot for two nights in July. We did not get to the hotel unitl midnight, and our seven year old son had been sick on the plane trip from Hawaii. We were greeted warmly by the hotel staff, in particular, our bellman Ricardo. When we got to our room, our son immediately got sick on the carpet. Ricardo told us not to worry, he would be back to clean it up. He came back immediately with some carpet cleaner and cleaned the carpet, then got us ice and more pillows. His kindness and genuine concern for our son throughout our stay made quite an impression on us. We also had wonderful service from all of the bell staff, room service staff, and housekeeping.
After reading some of the TripAdvisor reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel food. We had room service for dinner, and the food was delicious. Before dinner, we asked for a cheese plate, although it was not on the menu. We were brought a wonderful plate of several cheeses, crackers and fruit!
We also had a nice view of the ocean, with only a partial obstruction from one building. Our balcony was large and comfortably furnished.
We would definately stay here again if we return to Santa Monica!!
