My husband and I headed into Bar Pintxo on a cold November night, tired of the typical American fare we had consumed for 7 days during our stay in LA. It was a delightful experience! Yes, it is small but the service was great and the food was a welcome relief; it felt like a relatively healthy option. We were there on paella night and it was delicious. We found it a cheaper option than anywhere else we had frequented - $63 for a selection of 6 tapas and a plate of paella plus some drinks (excluding tax and tip). The sangria wasn't to my liking but the wine the waitress suggested was very nice. I will say that this style of tapas was different to what we get in Australia (and 10 times better). The ambiance was warm and cosy. I read some of the other not so great reviews but in all honesty, this was one of the better meals we had while in Santa Monica. Give it a try!
