My family was here last week for an overnight stay. The location is just great. Beach is so close. It's like David among the Goliaths (luxury beach resorts beside it). I requested for adjoining rooms when I emailed them a few weeks back and were given rooms 2 and 3. Rm 2 had a King size bed and Rm 3 had 2 double beds and a kitchen with a dinette set. Both had small private patios. As for the comments on the loud noise coming from the street, it's only during the day that we noticed it and of course we were at the beach the whole time so no problem. At night it was quiet. The Pier is a 10 minute walk. The rooms were all modern and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Only thing I wish the rooms had was airconditioning. But then it was in the 50's-60's and there was a fan in each room. The showers need updating but other than that everything else is fine. Cora's Cafe right next door is a must for breakfast/brunch. Absolutely delicious. I don't know about the other reviews but Rosa was very friendly and nice to me and my family. Will definitely come back.

Location is walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier. The room was recently updated and clean. We appreciated the small kitchenette when it came time to heat up leftovers. It has a few small parking spots on the side street. The owners were nice. Would definately stay here again.

Good location, just few minutes walking from Santa Monica Pier. Nice structure, the rooms are pretty big and clean. We booked for 125$ per night but it depends on the availability, rates start from 88$. There are only few parking lots for guests. They serve no breakfast but there's a small restaurant adiacent to the Hotel.

The Good:

Funky little place right on a main street. The owners are quite funny old folks, though they are sometimes difficult to find which would be unfortunate if you needed something. There is a nice open 2nd level patio to hang out on, the room was very nice. Internet was free, good bed, it was clean.

The Bad:

The shower is literally the worst I have ever been in. It was more of a lukewarm trickle than anything that could be called a shower, just to fully get wet took what seemed like an eternity. The other downside to this place was the noise. Imagine what sleeping on the median of a freeway would sound like, and you have a rough idea of the volume (around the clock) of the Seaview hotel.

Apart from the shower and the noise, this place was fun to stay at. Close to shopping and the pier, and also it had free parking. The breakfast place next door was amazing, and I would certainly recommend it. If you are going to stay here ask for the most quiet room with the newest shower and you'll be set!

Room Tip: Ask for quiet and the best shower

I stayed here in September for 3 nights with my husband before we moved onto Hollywood and I loved it. Well, we both loved it. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the end of the pier. The rooms were so lovely and clean and the beds are massive. Rosa the owner is such a character. I would go back here and stay for a full 2 weeks no problem at all. Main street isn't that far away and Venice is just a 20 minute walk away. Highly recommended.
There was no problem with noise at all it was all very peaceful and if you want to go drinking on Santa Monica boulevard it is only a 10 minute walk up the street. Go for it!

A group of six of us stayed here, booking three rooms. We are young travellers so our budget was not huge and this place suited us. Very good location within walking distance to santa monica shops and right behind the beach.

The rooms were very clean, bed was very nice and the internet was good. Only downside of our room was the shower! poor pressure and took forever to work out the right temperature.

The service was good, check in and check out was easy.

I would stay again if we visit santa monica because it is good value for money.
