Good for: Bar scene
Dining options: Dinner, Lunch, Seating, Waitstaff
Neighborhood: Santa Monica
Description: Authentic Irish pub, Irish owned and operated for twenty years by Willy O'Sullivan, a native of Cork. Please do not confuse us with with O'Brien's on Main St. (No relation, long story) Brick and dark wood room, with a prominent bar, featuring dishes like authentic, Fish & Chips and and an Irish Breakfast, (fry up) served all day, every day. Warm, mellow atmosphere, we will make any visitor feel at home. Kids are also welcome. Our Guinness is comparable to Dublin, so we have been told, and we also carry a great number of local craft beers on draft.

“A fake pub to be avoided unless you are dying of thirst”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

Fortunately, Santa Monica has some outstanding pub food; to be sure this is not the place to go. Not only are the prices high for what is served, the service is mediocre and the management quite indifferent with little apparent interest in customer satisfaction or retention.

Parking is also awful as you have to circle the streets nearby to find anything. Simply go someplace else and avoid this make believe pub.

I was born in Cork City, in 1958 and have owned this pub since, 1994. I have modeled my pub after great cork Pubs like the Swan and Signet, and Riordan's, only to have some Californian, tell me it's fake! I am sorry if the average, price of $10 for my dishes is too steep for you. Stick to the"real" gastro pubs
