“Very tasty, highly recommended”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Just walking distance from my hotel which was good after the huge serving of food I received. Molcajete was the order of the day and I was impressed but stuffed by the end of the meal, kind service, decent prices.

“Great Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Visited this restaurant on my recent trip to the pier and was completely satisfied with the carne asada burrito and excellent service we received. It was a little pricey, but that's expected near the beach.

“Exceptional Everything”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

This is a small and cozy place seemingly a bit off the "main" drag in the area. The setting, service and food are all, absolutely exceptional. Such a refreshing surprise to have truly great food at a fair price. They bend over backwards to have everything perfect there. Great place for families as well. The fajitas were overly awesome ;)

“Great food by the pier”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We enjoyed the Santa Monica Pier but was not looking to have the normal pier food. Casa Martin came up on our Yelp search and our son had asked to have Mexican while we were in California, and Casa Martin was a great choice. The staff was very attentive and food well made, not to mention so many choices. The food was brought very quickly, and my husband commented that the lime margarita was excellent. The restaurant has a modern feel with Mexican touches. The only thing that would have made it better is outdoor seating.

“Give these guys a chance...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

Popped in on the way back to the hotel as everywhere else was fully booked (Memorial Weekend) and they found us a table at the back. It was busy and it was mayhem. But, we were looked after. The food - steak and chicken fajitas - was great and there was lots of it. It was all fresh and maybe not to everyone's expectation, to us it was spiced well, cooked well and had plenty of flavour. The same can be said for the salsa that came with the nachos. The cocktails were nice and strong and both drinks and the food is extremely well priced. It isn't the most salubrious of locations and you can easily walk past it. There were no complaints from any of the tables near us on either the food or the service. Given this restaurant has only been open 3 months (as at May 2013), it has huge potential and the brothers that own it are learning their way using their own recipes passed down a generation. If this was on the more fashionable 3rd Street Promenade it would be busy all day and getting greater reviews. Give this place a chance, it is better than the typical chain restaurants you find in Santa Monica and is well worth a visit.
