Went for dinner tonite using Bloomspot $100 coupon. Had a half bottle of Sangiovese, a Caprese and a Caesar salad, Veal Parmigiana and Veal Marsala and a tartufo for dessert. The total bill before the the $100 coupon was ~$145. The service was excellent, the food was very good and very satisfying. The venue is small and crowded and thus noisy. The mode of dress is relaxed. The crowd was of mixed ages. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Whether the food was quite up to the pricing is debatable but the crowds suggest that many people feel its ok. In comparison to other upscale Italian loci in the area, the food is comparable to Vincenzo down the street but not up to Il Grano in West LA. We likely will return in the future. It's price structure would push it toward the special occassion venue albeit the noise level might mitigate that judgment.

This is a cute little place in the middle of residential Santa Monica. Come here for the food. Made up a three course dinner for the three of us. A couple of salads to start which were nice. A middle course of pasta, the sea urchin special and a mushroom penne, both wonderful but the sea urchin stands out as special. A main course of two fishes, they had sea bream as a special and it was wonderful as well. One desert and we all rolled home happy.

Had an enjoyable dinner but not as special or fun as I would've hoped. Much more creative food elsewhere and better service other similar places as well.

Stumbled onto this restaurant while shopping. On Montana Ave but not near the hectic shoreline area, this smaller restaurant surprises with authentic Italian dishes superb service, and a fine wine list. Try it and you'll become a regular.

Italian run. Food tastes like you are in Italy. Yummy pasta. They have rotating daily specials like sea urchin pasta. Fresh sea food.
