This place is located right at the entrance to Santa Monica pier - a great location with spectacular views. After having had drinks and food there, I suggest to only go there for drinks and not for food. It obviously caters a lot to the tourists and plenty of them. So tables are set very close to eachother making it hard for the staff to navigate. The waiter reaching passed guests, not really getting to your glass and then spilling refills happens frequently. My swordfish was presented nicely, but was slightly overcooked. Food was pricy for the quality offered. It appears that staff is a bit overwhelmed and attention to detail is definitely lacking. It feels like they want a fast turnover of the tables and don't really care as you might just be a tourist and one-time guest.

Absolutely great location so they will never lack for clientele. Food is good but pricey for what you get. Service was pretty bad. The restaurant is so crowded, with tables cheek to jowl, that the wait staff can't be bothered to navigate so they reach over you etc., in our case spilling and with barely an apology... also are rude trying to clear your plates ("gimmee your plate"). Guess they want the next group through fast. I guess if you cater to tourists you don't need to worry about repeat business, but we're somewhat local and probably won't be back, even with out of town visitors.

We were only in Santa Monica 2 nights and we regret eating here on he first night. Portions very small for the price you pay we had to go and have crepes at the crepe cafe to feel satisfied . Would be ok for people with money to Burn and it looked like there were quite a few in their .don't be fooled by location .

My family and I made 6:00 reservations, which worked beautifully because we could watch the sun set over the ocean in Santa Monica. We began with a chilled martini, the crab cake, jumbo wild Mexican shrimp cocktail, and a small salad to share. I had the Alaskan halibut. It was tasty.

The service was outstanding. Very knowledgable, friendly, efficient and our server, Mike has personality plus. Request to be seated in his section.
