“Great food”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

Stop in for dinner after a friend's recommendation, was not disappointed. The food was great, and the service was great as well, even though it was a little slow. Will eat here again soon.

“Good but not the best Fish and Chips I have ever eaten”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

We dined at the restaurant based on Trip advisor reviews. Since the Fish and Chips were highly recommended my wife and I ordered the "Queen" and "King" portions. The portions were large with plenty of french fries. The fish itself was fresh, flaky and tasted great. I would say they fall short on the batter. I have had better fish and chips at both the Codmother in San Francisco and Anthony's Fish Grotto in San Diego. Our order reminded me of pub fish and chips in the UK. In all fairness I noticed you could ask for a lighter batter when ordering and I would recommend that. The price was reasonable about $14 for the one piece and $19 for the two pieces. Aside from that we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and thought the service was good although it was not very crowded.

“Absolutely wonderful! Must try!”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We have eaten here 3 different times now, and the food and service is consistently outstanding! We have had the fish and chips (the Queen size which is just one piece of fish is plenty), steak, Guinness and Mushroom pie, and shepherds pie.

Keep in mind the portions are somewhat large. But always save room for dessert. They have an extensive dessert menu, but there is one we always get. It's cake with egg custard and a toffee sauce.

There is also a shop next door that sells British gifts & sundries.

We will definitely go back again!

“Love the National Dish”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

The National dish on the menu is listed as 'Chicken Tikka Masala' which will get a laugh out of the Brits and Aussies visiting. One of the best British pubs i've experienced in Cali. HUGE selection of tap beers and food.
