Great little Italian that serves excellent food and seems to be really popular with locals. We visited on a Friday and the place was packed with well heeled locals. Nice choice of dishes that are tasty and well presented. We felt that compared to the other restaurant in the neighbourhood, this one was quite expensive

This is my only obsessive, regular stop when in LA. If you're feeling flush, don't hesitate to order the truffles. White, black. Whatever is in season. You won't be disappointed. If you're feeling a bit tighter in wallet, make sure to get the carpaccio with mista. It's not on the menu, you need to order the mista on the carpaccio but with the olive oil and pepper they have, it's the best. Great, fresh pasta and seafood. Fantastic ambiance. Low lighting, so bring a light if you have trouble reading in darkness.

After reading about this restaurant we were curious and decided to have dinner there. We had reserved for 7:15 which was actually a good time as a little later there were line-ups at the door. Granted, you are seated very close to your neighbours, but that does not deter from your dining experience. You might even have a friendly chat. Sometimes you come across some of the most interesting of people.
The waiter was very friendly and informative about their specials in his heavy Italian accent. We ordered the raw artichoke salads for starters. Good but not as good as the one I had in Florence. I had the linguini langostine with spicy tomato sauce which was very good and my husband opted for the roasted veal chop which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a tiramisu for dessert which was very light and fluffy. I would say the food was very good but to warrant those prices?? I really don't think that this was of good value. I can have the same food for a lot less money elsewhere. I guess though, that you do have to pay to perhaps have the privilege of a celebrity siting.

Yes it's probably the most expensive Italian restaurant in LA. Yes you're going to think you are eating in a small bistro in Florance down to the Italian accented waiiters. Yes you will likely see some Hollywood celebrity (James Cann was at the table next to us). No they don't have a corkage so don't bring that favorite bottle of wine. But the food, the food is amazing! Fresh made pasta, Farmers Market inspired specials and a veal chop to die for. The service was impeccable. When the food is this good, you don't mind paying these price. Like our son says, "YOLO"! You only live once.

This was our second time dining at Giorgio Baldi, the first time was such a great experience, we were counting the time until we were in LA again to return. This trip lived up to and exceeded our first time. Our waiter Enzo was great, he gave us great suggestions on their specials and specialties. We had ravioli the first time around, it was one of the main reasons to return.
This time we had a trio of ravioli special, lobster, cheese and asparagus and beef, the ravioli are so fresh, light and delicate, the just melt in your mouth, would drive cross country for them! Main course was Grilled Langoustine for my wife and Branzino for me, both were super fresh and expertly prepared. All in all this is a top 5 restaurant all time for us, can't wait to return!
