“Did not like their pizza.”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Place is very nice, service is good, but pizza is not the way I like, especially after eating fire oven pizza in Napoli. Pizza is too thin, and almost nothing for cheese and sauce, pizza Margherita was almost piece of dough with few sprinkles of cheese and sauce, so thin, that it tasted like fried dough chips.

“Stella Rossa? Duh.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Amazing pizza. A waiter who talked to us like a friend. This place has everything going for it. I can't imagine anyone will visit this place and not love it and recommend it to people they like, and forget to mention it to people they hate.

“Fantastic atmosphere, great service and value”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Sometimes it just isn't worth it to pay fortunes for a meal when you stumble upon somewhere like Stella's. Having been travelling around California and Las Vegas and having experienced some less than brilliant, yet expensive restaurants this was plain fun. We read the reviews and as our hotel was nearby thought we'd take a look as we wanted something less formal. With no reservation we were able to get a table in the very busy restaurant. The tables are formed around a central bar area and the kitchen is in total view too. The place had a real buzz and the service was friendly, efficient and quick. We had a shared salad and pizza and both were excellent. with a glass of red Zinfandel each plus a beer this whole meal came to around $50. The whole thing was so good we went back the next night.

“Great find”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Went here on the last day of our trip having passed by earlier in the week and liked the look of the menu. Lived up to my first impressions (& trip advisor reviews). Great pizza, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. We seated ourselves at a table inside and were acknowledged almost immediately by a server. All around us customers seemed to be getting same level of service whether they were at the bar or getting table service.
Having had a few meals during our trip where service was either exceptionally slow or we felt rushed by staff wanting to turn tables it was refreshing to be left to enjoy our meal at our own pace knowing someone was still anticipating when we needed more drinks. Staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu but not pushy with extras or specials
Also the food was awesome (save room for a choc chip and sea salt cookie)
Wish we'd found it earlier in the trip

“Crispy pizza lovers delight”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Stopped here for lunch on our way to the Santa Monica Pier based on the great reviews that I read here on Trip Advisor and they were spot on. We went on a Sunday so a lot of customers were there for the Sunday brunch which also looked great but we were craving pizza. We ordered salads to start and they were delicious and then our pizzas were crispy as promised. The staff was attentive and gave us complimentary giant cookies for dessert when they realized it was our first trip to California. We traveled from Los Angeles to San Francisco during an 8 day time span and all agree that this was if not our favorite, then one of our top two favorites meals that we had on our trip. The atmosphere was warm & friendly and just an all around great place.
