I walked past this place a few times, mostly because it was the weekend and there were tipsy college kids spilling out of the bar and slouching around the high tables. I decided to take a chance for lunch on Monday though and am so glad I did. The service is prompt and helpful and they have those fantastic hand cooked tortilla chips that taste better than anything! I ordered a trio of dips, and they were ok but served in plastic bowls. Continuing with the trashy Tex-Mex theme, I also ordered Mexican mac and cheese which was wonderful - super spicy jalapeno sauce topped with more jalapenos, tomatoes and avocado. The menu has the usual, standard non-authentic Mexican food in generous portions you find in lots of places in the USA - nothing exciting, but fresh ingredients simply prepared. The food is obviously here to fill you up as you guzzle the enormous 32oz margaritas. There are lots of Mexican places in Santa Monica and I tried to sample all of them - this wasn't the best, but it was pretty good. I'm going to give an extra star just for the awesome tortilla chips!

This is more a bar for 20 something's with typical commercial tasting Mexican food and margaritas. Service was slow and food is average at best. Lots of tv screens. Don't go here if you want good Mexican food.

Went to Santa Monica on Thanksgiving, as a tour we had booked cancelled. After a walk along the pier and beach we visited the 3rd street promenade, As we walked past, the big sports screens, a good atmosphere pulled us in, it was extremely busy and can see why! Food took a little while to arrive, but when it did it was amazing, value for money was incredible, chicken wings, taco's, burrito's for $5 each? would highly recommend.

We had the fajitas. One shrimp and one chicken, huge servings and tasty. Margaritas were good.
Plenty of big screens with sport from around the globe, long happy hours. The service was fast and friendly and the bill was the best part - cheap as chips as they say. Get a table at the front and watch the shoppers and world pass you by but watch out for those thirty two ounce cocktails.
