True Food Kitchen is a culinary oasis on the 3rd Avenue Promenade in Santa Monica. Although the restaurant is bustling, the space is pleasing and comfey in a sophisticated overblown wood, windows, open kitchen and lots veggies sort of way. This is a happy spot to refuel with real food amid the chains of over processed fat food.
Try one of the non alcoholic coolers, they are all delicious and refreshing and there is also a nice selection of beers and wine. Do NOT miss the edamame wontons, they are amazing, the hummus is a nice version and the crudete is enough veggies to feed 10 people. We had the turkey lasagna, chopped Mediterranean salad and a beef sauté, it was all tasty and fresh. I doubt there is a poor choice on the menu, this is a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, seasonal and local food and does it well in a pretty, fun space. True Food Kitchen is a good choice that's good for you!
