The Shore hotel was the most expensive of our trip. Santa Monica is an expensive place to stay anywhere. Pluses are the location , newness, pool area and decor.
Minuses are: price, rooms are small compared to other hotels in US, car parking is expensive and with no driveway valet,(choose self park which is cheaper) no bath in the bathroom and no food or bar on site. If any of these things are of importance to you then you may wish to go elsewhere.
If you want a nice up market hotel in Santa Monica and you can get a good price for the Shore then it is a good choice.
