Perfect, my sisters and I travel together every year for a week. We try new locations and the Santa Monica Beach Lowes hotel has to rank among our best. The hotel staff was kind, prompt, attentive to all needs including asking us daily if we needed directions to anything, offered resturant suggestions, (we live in New Orleans and its hard to compare) and even walking up to us when had that "I don't understand face" and offering assistance. The hotel resturant was actually one of the best meals we consumed while we were there. The hotel location was great, we were on our patio every morning and night watching the sun rise and set on the ocean. The beds are very comfortable, the room and lobby were neat and well kept.

Room Tip: Get a room with a patio and ocean view

What a beautiful hotel. The beach is your front yard, the pier so close as we had our own deck. The pier has everything and caters for all ages. Our last night their Jimmy Cliff was jamming on the beach, spectacular. Venice beach is only a stone throw away, so take a walk or hire a bike. The surrounding shops, cafe and restaurants spectacular. Front desk staff are beautiful and very helpful, the porters as well. Courtesy buggy available if your keen to eat out and shop. Rooms modern but suitable had everything, loved the coffee machine. Rooms were always cleaned. Loved it and will definitely go back. Great value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms with a deck and a view of the beach and pier.

The hotel is excellent. Located at walking distance from Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade. You just have to cross a local street to get to the beach. Rooms are well decorated, not luxuous but perfect for a beach hotel, clean, spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and warm. The pool area has a great view to the beach and comfortable chairs, and the same with the lobby area. Nothing to complain about the hotel. Definitely would like to come back !

Firstly if you have never been to California then it is well worth the money, it is the best place to holiday in my view.
Santa Monica is a beautiful place, so relaxed and laid back with almost constant sun and the worlds best beaches. The pathway along the beach take you from almost Malibu to beyond Redondo and are a perfect stroll or cycle.
We booked in for 10 days at the Loews and although we try to visit different hotels when we holiday, we will return here.
It was perfect all round. The check in staff were spot on and they found us a perfect room. Room 210 overlooks the beach, the pier and everything. It is a 2 minute stroll from room to beach, ideal.
The hotel is welcoming and the foyer large and airy and spotlessly clean.
The rooms had everything you needed and were serviced daily. We were given a $25 allowance on mini bar items which was a surprise and a great addition, the well stocked mini bar items soon went down!
The hotel is quiet and has everything that you need, restaurant, ATM, phone etc and you can also print boarding passes etc for free in the lobby.
I cannot stress how polite everyone was and how perfect the hotel helped to make our holiday.
The restaurant food in the lobby area was excellent and the pool area was lovely although you don't really need to use it as the beach is seconds away.
There is always something going on outside and the days are easily filled.
We sat and watched a free concert that was being held at the pier and could see the screens from our room so didn't even have to stay in the crowds, brilliant.
There are a lot of homeless folk hanging around Santa Monica which is upsetting but they don't really bother you too much.
It is also expensive for shopping etc but it really is heaven on earth.
Go there, stay at the Loews and enjoy a really good and memorable holiday.

Simply the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere in the world.

They have thought of every small detail and just made our stay an absolute pleasure.

Food, service, facilities, location, rooms, you name it and it is brilliant.

Other hotels could learn a lot from how this hotel operates. Can't wait to go back!
