“Good service and a delicious eclectic menu”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

My family of 9 came here for the first time during Christmas holiday. The restaurant was easy to find. We parked at the Santa Monica Place shopping mall garage next to the restaurant. We stopped by the restaurant at 6p, an hour before are scheduled family dinner time, and asked if they could provide a large table(s) for 9 at 7pm. This busy restaurant with a nice looking modern decor, doesn't take reservations, but they were happy to arrange a table for us. The eclectic menu has a wide selection and it's well labeled. We ordered several mixed drinks, dishes from kids menu, appetizers, entres and desserts. All were quite good. The ingredients were fresh. Our favorite dish was the Seafood Caldo, a delicious tomato based seafood stew and the favorite appetizer was the Albacore Escabeche, wonderfully flavored ceviche! The service was excellent. Couple waiters and staff members assisted our large table with grandparents, parents and kids.

“Crunchy but good.”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

It's a great restaurant for the freshest and most organic food but it's soooo California. The menu is crowded with little initials such as "gf" (gluten free) and others throughout. Everything's cage free, gluten free, herbicide free, calorie free (well not really) but you get my drift. Very friendly, courteous and efficient wait staff. We were there with two seniors, one of our kids, his spouse and two grandchildren, ages 2 and 4 and it was sort of mayhem for our waiter who handled it beautifully, kudos to him. Very different items on the menu if you so desire but also main line lunch if that's to your liking. Daughter in law had a ginger ale that was unlike anything I'd ever tasted but it was good. I had a vegetarian lasagna that wasn't overly cheesy and had lots of veggies. It's a yes if at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

“light, colorful, a little bland”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

crudites/vegetable appetizers were beautiful and first rate, dips were a little bland; Greek omelet good but not special; terrific date muffin. Setting was beautiful and felt good.
You don't go away saying, "Why did I eat that?" Your body feels good later.
BUSY place.

Late lunch. In the sun. Fresh food. Great choice. Some spicy (fabulous fish stew) and great pasta and salad. Good value. Just try it, you won't be sorry.

“Wow!”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

A unique spin on restaurants. They want to make sure that you eat healthy here. Great location in downtown Santa Monica. It is a unique restaurant experience and is a whole revolution in the way you eat at a restaurant. The slow food movement has arrived in L.A.!
