Owner description: The Beach House is a unique community destination, open to all, no membership required! With spectacular views, splash pad, playground, gallery, Marion Davies Guest House, beach courts & fields, community & cultural events, seasonal pool, classes for children and adults, free wi-fi, and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy! The Beach House grounds are open daily, including the playground, splash pad, beach area, courtyard, view deck, and volleyball courts. The site upon which the Beach House now sits was originally developed during the 1920s by William Randolph Hearst for actress Marion Davies. The Davies estate, designed by architect Julia Morgan, featured a mansion of 100-plus rooms, three guest houses and an ornate marble swimming pool. Learn more about the Beach House history on a tour of the last remaining Guest House with a Santa Monica Conservancy docent. Classes for adults include yoga, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Beach Volleyball, and Synchronized Swimming. Children can to learn to swim, play beach volleyball, and beach soccer! Our historic pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, during the summer pool season, and requires an admission fee. Between October and May the pool is closed. We will occasionally open the pool on warm weather weekends or holidays.

I attended a 2 day conference here; the food was excellent, the location perfect, though the scenery was slightly distracting. An overall excellent event. I loved that you could check out volleyballs and other recreation equipment to use on the beach; a great way to unwind at the end of the day!

Park readily, enjoy a wonderful, big, clean beach, have a nice beach burger. Great for kids. You don't have to join a club or spend a bundle. There's a pool and places to change. Very close to shopping in Santa Monica, but feels like its a million miles away.

If you are looking for a few hours to chill by the pool, this is perfect. The beach is pretty windy so this is a perfect excuse to find some shelter and relax for an afternoon. Food from the cafe is great, although a little pricey. Perfect for kids.

The new Beach House is terrific - beautiful pool, children's play area, and a boardwalk to the edge of the shore. Don't miss the Marion Davies Beach House next to the Annenberg Community Beach House - a great part of Hollywood history!

Family oriented community beach house that will take you back to a time of relaxing civility. The Annenberg Foundation has produced a true oasis from the rat race with this facility. Clean, well staffed and managed. Free cabanas make for great childrens birthday parties (but don't bring balloons, they are not allowed).
