We stopped here to have a coffee so my review it will be only about the lobby and the service there.. not the room i have one review about the room 4 years ago you can check it if you interested.
The setting area nice comfortable.. the outside area very nice with the sea view but very small .
The coffee good and theres 3 desserts only in the menu but its nice to try it.
The service good.

My only two neices and one of my grand niece were visiting Santa Monica. My oldest son and I joined them for breakfast at Shutters on the Beach, which is where they were staying. We had a reservation and were seated on the patio. The five of us were sitting there as several restaurant employees walked past us. Finally, one of them said someone would be right with you. A few minutes later our server showed up and took our drink orders. Again we waited. I asked a different server where our drinks were. Several minutes later, a different person brought four of the five drinks. Again, we waited. Finally our server shows up with the final drink and takes our breakfast order. The food was very good but the service was lousy. I was very dissappointed that such a fancy (not to mention very expensive) place, provided such poor service. I'm pretty sure this was not the "norm" at Shutters. It is my opinion that whoever our server was should be retrained or let go.

We were lucky enough to stay in a suite facing the beach and it was lovely! The decor makes you feel like you are in your own beautiful luxurious home, and the views are just amazing. The beach is at you doorstep, so it is so easy to go enjoy it. The pool setting is also very relaxing. Bed was very cozy and the bathroom had a huge really fun tray of potential purchases with everything from sunscreen to face masks. Room service was great.

The room is very well presented, like a home from home. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and the amenities in the room are outstanding.
The spa experience was wonderful. My therapist and the spa staff were all incredibly attentive and professional.
The location is exceptional. Beautiful views from the room and a short stroll to Muscle Beach, Venice beach, shopping and great dining options.
Front desk staff, door staff and all the other friendly faces throughout the hotel made our stay a pleasure.
Highly recommended.

I had heard about Shutters from friends and it didn't disappoint. Great location right on Santa Monica Beach; exceptional service; exceptionally clean; multiple restaurant & food options.. It's big enough to offer lots of amenities but feels warm & inviting. I highly recommend this hotel!!!
