Our guided kayaking tours will take you on a serene and beautiful excursion to Santa Margarita Lake, where you are sure to see an abundance of birds and wildlife. Tour includes lunch. On our zipline tours, you will embark on six distinct ziplines spanning more than 7,500 total feet, starting with an epic 2,800-foot tandem line. Flying next to a friend or partner, you depart between two legacy red oaks, then soar over a steep canyon forested with blue oaks. Next, you crest over a high ridge and conquer a broad valley at heights reaching 160 feet before finally landing on the distant mountainside, completing an epic journey that you’ll never forget. You'll end your tour with an epic 1,800 foot flight over the vineyard! Tour - Along the way, you will learn about the ranch's remarkable natural features and role as part of California's famed Mission Trail. Your tour concludes in the historic hamlet of Santa Margarita, where you have the option to sample wines from the ranch. Advance reservations are required. Nature - During your tour, you will experience the remarkably diverse natural environment of Santa Margarita Ranch, which spans five distinct soil types and numerous habitats across 14,000 acres. Sustainability - Santa Margarita Ranch is a testament to how native ecosystems can be nurtured and even restored within a working ranch and vineyard environment. During your tour, you will learn about the numerous sustainable practices that are making a difference in the land and what it produces. History - From early Native American inhabitants to Spanish padres, Mexican generals and colorful outlaws, Santa Margarita Ranch boasts an illustrious cultural and historical pedigree that is unrivaled on California's Central Coast. Wine - Santa Margarita Ranch's sustainably farmed vineyard is the southernmost vineyard in the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area (AVA). During your tour, you will discover why Sunset Magazine called Paso Robles "the West's most exciting wine region." With our six ziplines, we aim to change your perspective, both literally and figuratively. Our tour is designed to accentuate our larger mission: to promote a deeper appreciation for our natural surroundings, and to ultimately see things a bit differently while providing a thrilling experience along the way.

This is a great experience for people of all ages. Took our mom who turned 60 and she had a ball. Wine tasting afterwards made it all come together.

My first time zip lining..the disclaimer has statements like I agree to risk falling 100 feet ,might get smashed in the rocks etc...

Don't know what part of our safety is their liability..the disclaimer makes them bullet proof
The zip lining parse was thrilling and the staff were friendly and professional.

We're sorry that you found our waiver a bit unnerving. As long as our guests follow the safety rules set out by our guides, we are confident that they will have a safe and fun ziplining experience! As with any extreme activity, a company unfortunately has to cover itself. We hope you had a great time on the course and will join us again soon!

Four of us who get together once a year decided to try the zip line ... we all had a great time! From the shuttle up to the 1st line we learned about this huge ranch and all of its attributes while being entertained by our guide. All the guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the safety factors involved. We can't wait to try the 5th line that should be operational soon. The ride back to the office was equally as interesting and we spotted several critters of the area, including a bald eagle. I think the husbands are going to forego golf to join us next time!

Took my wife for her birthday and was her first zipline experience. Great views and interesting tour of the ranch. The friendly and experienced staff made all feel very comfortable. I got to use the Superman rig(suspended parallel to the line) for a couple of the ziplines and it really feels like you're flying. Highly recommended.

I chose to zipline for the first time here with my brother and was so impressed with the staff. They were so friendly and skilled at what they do. They made sure we were safe and instructed us before we set off down the zipline. First, we took a shuttle from the office to the ranch. Along the way, our driver, Megan (a history major at CalPoly) gave us a very interesting history of the area, which she made even entertaining with jokes. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the ranch (previous owners include Robert Mondavi, Constellation Brands, etc.), the vineyards, and the wildlife. Then we went on 4 ziplines. They vary in length and speed. There were 11 year olds riding it, suggesting it is easy enough for young kids. You are allowed to ride tandem (Mom and son rode together) too. Afterwards, we were given some drinks from a cooler and assorted snacks (kid snacks). Then it was back on the shuttle. Wait! But this was my favorite part! We saw maybe 20 deer (lots of fawns), wild turkeys, squirrels, hawks, and even a bald eagle! There are sometimes mountain lions and bobcats too. As Megan began to talk about each animal, it would amazingly appear. I guess it helped that we drived close to a small reservoir, where the animals seem to visit frequently. After the tour, we were able to cross the street and taste wine ($5/taste but waived if you buy a bottle of wine), if we wanted to. We chose to hit the road because it was so hot. Thankfully, we ziplined in the 10 AM group (before the heat really worsened) and they have mist sprayers at the zipline stations to keep you cool. A very well run operation!
