This little motel is very clean and conveniently located. The proprietor is friendly. The grounds are dated and run down. Rooms are dark and dated. Would be fine if it were super inexpensive but it isn't. I found it depressing, especially for the price.

We stayed seven nights this time. Probably our eighth stay since our 3 1/2 yr old grandson was born in Santa Cruz. We like the location, the big rooms and the management. Breakfasts are normal waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, toast, bananas, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc. It's the best value in Santa Cruz.
Stayed here to check out Santa Cruz for the following day. Epen was very helpful friendly and informative.
Even offered the use his laundry. Loved our chat about our children and his suggestions for dinner. Thanks Epen
One might have trepidation about finding serenity on busy Ocean Street in Santa Cruz... however I wound up last night in one of the very nice larger units in the back building and can can tell you this is QUIET and comfortable at a very reasonable rate. Bed was very comfortable... good TV... very clean....I'll be giving my appreciation to the desk manager as I leave shortly!
Exactly what we were expecting! This was our first stay at this location. The hotel we usually stay at raised their rates significantly so we decided to try out Quality Inn.
Mr. Patel made check in fast and easy! Super close location to the boardwalk, and our favorite pizza!!! The room was clean, grounds were well maintained, we enjoyed a nice quiet night's sleep, and the breakfast buffet was great! Looking forward to booking here again for next year!!
My husband and I had a two bed room for us and our grandson. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a refrigerator that was super (too) cold. It froze our carrots. The A/C worked. The manager, Mr. Patel, was very professional and engaging. He checked us in early which we appreciated. He gave our grandson some "Swedish fish" to eat after lunch. He really appreciated the special attention.
