“What a little gem!”

We enjoyed our stay here so much! We had the Lookout Room which is on the second floor. We fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. A small sitting area with a chandelier (adorable). The bedroom area is entered through french doors. The room is bright and light with huge windows. The bath had double sinks and a large shower. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The main common areas are inviting as well. And the grounds looked lovely with many places to sit and relax, although it was a bit chilly when we were there. Breakfast is ample and nicely laid out. Santa Cruz downtown is a short walk away and has plenty of places to eat and shop. The beach is a bit of a hike but we walked it and enjoyed the walk very much. Would definitely recommend this B&B over any hotel you can find in Santa Cruz. We left with a smile on our face!

Wish I had discovered this years ago as I've been visiting the UCSC campus for several years and always looking for an interesting alternative to boring hotels.
The home is absolutely charming. Nothing is overdone here, very tasteful. Quiet, relaxing, clean, great bed, great breakfast. I will return every chance I get.

Room Tip: I had the Mission room. No shower but great claw foot tub.

The reviews on tripadvisor were so right. The place is perfect. Comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was vegetarian friendly as well. We will definitely be back!

The ethos here is the owners provide you with a wonderful room, comfortable surroundings, a nice modified conti breakfast (great Peet's coffee!), and peace and quiet in a superb location. We do not like the usual B&B situation where the owners/innkeepers are in your face all the time, and found the unique setup at Adobe to our liking. If you are looking for the more traditional B&B then this is perhaps not for you. We give Adobe a 10/10 and will go back again. This was our first visit to Santa Cruz and we loved the town. Ate at La Posta and Laili. Excellent cuisine and recommend both.

Title says it all! We really were not sure what to expect. We found this place absolutely perfect for our road trip down highway 1! Were hoping to be back there this year....

We stayed in the Abode based upon others' favorable experiences, and we were not disappointed. What a nice, comfortable place in the midst of busy Santa Cruz! The continental breakfast was absolutely delicious -- fresh scones, squeezed orange juice, and other delicacies one would not expect. Privacy of the guests is of utmost importance, so we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Located a short walking distance to restaurants and stores, so it's very convenient. Spotlessly clean -- immaculate in every detail.

Room Tip: Only four rooms -- all are nice.

My husband and I stayed here over New Year's and absolutely loved it. The property was perfectly clean, non-frilly and comfortable. Pluses include the proximity of downtown and the wonderful, self-serve breakfast with extended hours. Also, we loved the gorgeous landscaping.

Room Tip: Love the Adobe room, which was large and on the first floor. Great to be able to grab a cup of coffe...
