This location has had some unfortunate predecessors, although it's a great location and beautiful interior space. Went to West End Tap last night and had a wonderful meal, with enthusiastic and friendly service. I had the pan-broiled fish, cooked to perfection over a whit bean puree and tasty kale. My husband had the short ribs, and the sauce was so yummy I had them scrape off the remains to go, and it was perfect atop my toast this morning. Also, they are on Open Table, which is a distinct plus. We'll definitely be back, and soon.

2 month old newcomer to it's west end namesake has potential but is not quiet ready for prime time just yet.

+ Expansive warehouse space, gorgeous interior
+ Tasty burger with topping options (including blue cheese)
+ Friendly service
+ Good craft beer selection; offer 1/2 pints
+ Spitting distance to Santa Cruz Brewing Co & Kelly's French Bakery.
+ Daily offers via facebook

- Calamari appetizer arrived 5 mins after the entree with no explanation or make good
- Wait time for food was slightly longer than average for half empty restaurant
- Burger arrived luke warm
- Anxious server tried to clear items while my fork was still on the plate grabbing food
- No working A/C, restaurant was uncomfortably warm

Personally, I'd give them another month or two to work out the kinks before trying again.

Overall I'm giving it a 2.78 with room to grow.

Enjoyed dinner here on a Friday night. We waited bout 30 minutes, but was totally worth the wait! The short rib was fantastic! The burger was also very good. The service was excellent and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. A nice spot!

Overall a great experience. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated right away - it was still pretty early 6:30. Our 13 y/o daughter was with us as well.

The beer list was confusing to understand (really? a beer list) but once our lovely server, Sarah, explained it to us we were able to navigate (Note to owner: please fix this confusion!). Beer selection was "narrow and deep". Would prefer to see some guest taps there....Firestone Walker, Sante Adairius, Route 1..

The menu for food was good - nice and tight and VERY well priced. We were almost worried the items seemed so reasonable. We started with padrone peppers, salads followed by flat bread, salmon and short ribs. Salmon was perfectly cooked - I asked for it to be no more than medium and it was amazing - great portion also. Short ribs were delicious as was the flatbread.

Overall a very good first visit. Our server really made the difference..she checked in often and paced the service just right. We cannot wait to go back.
