A wonderful place to stop before or after driving Hywy #1. Lovely, well equipped rooms and suites with helpful and attentive staff. Try to get a beach view room. If you are traveling with a disabled person they offer a wonderful ADA one bedroom beach view suite. The attention to detail is evident and the location cannot be beat. This is the place to stay in Santa Cruz!

Room Tip: Beachfront room is the way to go!

We (wife, me, and our two boys 10 &12) spent the recent Labor Day weekend here. We had the Ocean View Room. Absolutely beautiful room. The view is remarkable. The Inn is set up on terraces running up the natural slope of the hill from street level. We were on the highest level off the street, the 3rd floor they call it. Our room had two queen sized beds, wet-bar w/ mini-fridge, and a beautifully updated bathroom w/ dual showerheads. French doors lead off the sea-side of the room onto a semi-private deck overlooking the Wharf and beach. Great restaraunts and the Boardwalk are immediately accessible by easy walking. Management was very nice and helpful.

We all had a great, relaxing, fun time. This place is definitely on our list to be back very soon.

Room Tip: The street-level rooms are probably very busy and a little noisy, which would be perfect for people...

We just rocked up with no booking and enjoyed the 1 night we had there.
The girls in reception were very helpful and the S'mores pits in the evening were a nice touch.
The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a super shower and it was very clean.
Good location with parking.
Good value, good location, good stay.

Nice hotel with pretty décor superbly located right across from the pier/wharf. Warning: you can hear karaoke on the weekends from the bar across the street, but it (thankfully) ends around 6 p.m. Nice pool, barbeque pit, extremely comfortable beds. In general, a good base from which to explore the surrounding areas (beaches, state parks, redwoods, etc.)

We stayed there for two nights. Great location, walking distance to beach and pier. Even though might be cloudy the sun hits the pool. Our room was directly facing the pool and you can sit outside and relax. The bathrooms were amazing with two showers in the same space, and tons of space around the rooms. Fridge available if you wanted to stay for a longer time and get something to eat. Again if you would like to walk around and have a central location with parking space this is it.

Room Tip: If you want to stay by the pool the rooms are cheaper than facing the ocean. Both views are fine.

We were so pleased with our recent experience at the Beach Street Inn. The recently remodeled rooms were fresh, clean and bright. A handwritten welcome note and bag of salt water taffy started us off on a great step. We stayed in a pool view room with two double beds with our two kids (7 and 10). While the room was a little tight for us and our luggage for our 12 day trip, it was totally manageable and such a great value. The pool was refreshing and styled very nicely with extra plants and bright, comfortable chaises. We walked to the Boardwalk for a really fun night and ate good pizza on our way home. The location is great - we parked our car the entire time. The time and care the owners have put into remodeling this inn has paid off. We would love to come back and stay even longer...would probably upgrade to an ocean view next time and take advantage of the grills. Don't miss the delicious food at the Picnic Basket. Almost all house made or locally sourced.

We has a wonderful vacation. We rented a suite that overlooked the pool. It was very clean and spacious. A full kitchen, new looking bathroom very cute. My husband and brought out 4 kids. An 11 year old twIn 3 year olds and a 3 month old baby and we all fit just fine. The location was awesome. A short walk to the boardwalk and the wharf. Tons of places to eat. We swam in the pool. I can't wait to come back again!
