“Nice location, outrageous prices”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

Wandered down here one night and stopped in for a glass of wine. The ambience was nice, nothing special, but boy did I get a big surprise when I got the check as I was paying $14 a glass for mediocre wine. Not worth it all.

“Great Hole in the Wall”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Great place that seems local even though it's on the wharf. Staff was very nice and generous when pouring taste samples if you weren't sure what wine you wanted (they carry a nice selection and an option to purchase closed bottles). The customers around us were friendly (even met some good locals who gave us suggestions). The day room has some tables that look out to the ocean as well (but it was too cold when we went so we sat inside).

They do not have a kitchen, but Olita's (Mexican) has an agreement with them and you get menu's and order at your table just like a restaurant. It was good and had a normal wait, but ask what's spicy if you're not a hot-sauce kind of person.

Had live jazz music while we drank and ate, very friendly musician!

“Great "wine down" spot!”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Based on the one review we found before visiting Santa Cruz, we sought out this place to enjoy a nice glass of wine during out trip. This is what we were looking for, a nice relaxing place to enjoy a good glass of wine. We actually went two days in a row. The first afternoon, we each enjoyed a flight and the cheese and salami platter... very good and worth the price! The second day, we just enjoyed a few glasses of wine. When we first arrived we had the place to ourselves, very nice, quiet, and beautiful views of the ocean and pier. We enjoyed great conversation with the owners. Good times, will go back! A must visit for wine enthusiasts!

“Nice way to pass the afternoon”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Found this place at the end of the Santa Cruz pier with great views of the harbour. Enjoy a couple of flights of wine and a combination cheese and meat plate of local product while relaxing on a comfortable couch overlooking the bay.

Sommalier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines.
