Went down for dinner and ended up spending hours just walking around looking at the different shops, the water, the people, and enjoying the Wharf. Lovely place :)

A lovely place for an evening stroll. Stop in to restaurants along the wharf for a drink or some fried clam strips and oysters. Recommend the bar at Splash. Pretty views of the bluffs and the boardwalk lights. Watch the seals and hear them barking under the wharf.

We drove along the wharf and parked at the end and were pleasantly surprised by the little friends (sea lions) at the end. You could hear them from the boardwalk.
This is a great wharf to walk along and look back to the beach/boardwalk
There is a few options for lunch (obviously mainly seafood) and some stores along wharf as well.
The sea lions at the end put on a show playing, sleeping and jumping around, they are worth the visit

If you're visiting Santa Cruz and plan on a trip to the Boardwalk you'll go here too. Within walking distance of the amusement park, its a pleasant stroll over the Monterey Bay. See people fishing off the wharf, grab a bite to eat, take a look at the variety of fresh fish for sale at the markets, have an adult beverage, shop for a souvenier. Its all here. You can watch sailboats and see surfers over at Cowell's Beach. If you stay in an area hotel breakfast lunch and dinner are all availible out here. I've been to them all, Riva's has the best quality at the price for lunch or dinner.
