“Great fresh crusty breads”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

Buy your bread early, they close in mid-afternoon, or find them at the Saturday Westside Farmer's Market. Many delicious varieties. Average price is $5 to $6 per loaf, but really worth it.

“Fine New Bakery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2012

This nice little bakery has moved into space vacated by another one a year or two ago. They're baking a dozen or so breads each day, as well as a decent selection of pastries, cookies, and things like quiches and pot pies. They also serve coffee (first rate) and teas, and i think I recall seeing juices. There's a self service counter where you place and pick up your order, which you can eat at several large communal tables inside and at several outdoor tables, or carry out.

Service is quite friendly and responsive. They've been open only a few months at this location, and are open for breakfast and lunch. The menu is limited, but the food is all first rate. I wouldn't be surprised to see both menu and hours expand over time.
