“Excellent Spicy Calamari”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Found this gem as we strolled down the wharf. Was sucked in with the samples of spicy calamari they were offering outside. I have never loved calamari so much. The 'spicy' part isn't on the menu and is a dollar extra. It isn't so much spicy as it is marinated, but its delicious all the same. Servings were huge. Boyfriend got the fish and chips. Was kind of disappointed that it was snapper and not cod, but that seems to be how it is everywhere on the wharf. Cole Slaw was even delicious and I have never liked Cole slaw. Parking on the wharf was $1 an hour. The restaurant has glass windows all around that overlook the ocean for a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was Dave and he managed to always pop up every 5 minutes to refill water and make sure our meter wasn't going to run out. Very thoughtful. Bill totaled about 26 for the two entrees. Well worth the visit.

Prawn cocktail appetizer is enough for two, Jambalaya was very good, portion sizes very good for the price.

“Solid place for seafood at the wharf”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

This is a good place to eat at the Santa Cruz wharf. Good location, good service, and all that. Our experience there was very good but not outstanding. The expectations are usually high when you eat seafood in a place by the ocean, by a wharf. The sea bass dish was pretty good. The fish and chips received good reviews from members in our group. Definitely worth a try.

“Food good but no atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

We ate here one evening and had local fish stew which was very good and huge so you need to be hungry.

The downside is that we felt that the lighting was too bright and it was impersonal which is a shame as the food really was good.

“Great Food and the Kids Loved it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

My family and I ate here for lunch and were pleased with the experience. The kids liked their food and the service was great. They have a fried calamair with a spicey sauce that was new. Loved it.... It would feed two people for sure. The serving was huge. Te fish and chips was good and the crab cakes were great. Location was great and the views from the dining area were nice.
