The food here is very good! We happen to be there during Santa Cruz Restaurant Week and had the menu: Silk Road Plate, Beef Koubideh Kabob and chocolate cake. It was all really good! The restaurant seems to be very popular – it was packed (I don’t know if it’s always like that on a Saturday night or if it was because of the Restaurant Week)! It gets really loud in there to a point where it’s not that enjoyable anymore. The staff was very friendly, attentive and fast. Should I ever come back to Santa Cruz I would definitely go back there but not on a Saturday night.

Class ambiance inside and in courtyard;
interesting exotic food
Miniscule portions.
Save money and enjoy the courtyard: go at lunchtime.
Great place for a first date.
Go on a semi-full stomach

It's a beautiful place. We sat on the patio. We got the Silk salad for $11 and filet with rice for $25. The salad was very average. The dressing was very salty. I could hardly eat it. She didn't ask us how we like the meat cooked, it came rare. Couldn't eat that either. It took almost 40 min to get our food and had to leave for airport so we just ate what we could and left . I would not go back since there are tone of good places to eat around there.

Laili is very well designed. The indoor room can be noisy when crowded, but it's very attractive. The garden is even nicer. The food is not as good as I'd like it to be. My favorite is the Silk Road plate, which is a mezze plate with several dips, served with their housemade, fresh naan, which is very nice.

Good choices for vegetarians here. All flavors very authentic. LOVED the pumpkin bolani! Nice atmosphere. Would recommend and return next time we are in the area.
