I had the IPA a-okay. Bonny Doon wines and restaurant is next door and new leaf grocery is 50 meters away.

SCMB produces only unfiltered organic beers which are made on premises. They also usually also have both a pear and an apple cider (not made by SCMB) available along with a house made root beer and Kombucha. There are always several seasonal beers available,

You can order food from the popular Kelly's Bakery (a killer hamburger) until 7 PM. You can also bring your own food without offending anyone. Dogs are very welcome as are children, both in the pub as well as the outside heated patio.

I am quite fond of their IPA, but have tasted most of their beers. A current seasonal, "Twisted Sister" combines a porter with cocoa nibs and chipotle peppers. You first get a hit of coffee followed by chocolate and finished with some heat. If you can't decide between a couple of beers, ask the bar tender for a taste, They do sell a taster of all their regular beers plus a seasonal for not a bad idea for new visitors.

I live in Sacramento and have more than a few times fueled up and drove to santa cruz just to fill my growler with the sweet brew. The place is slightly magical. It has all the things that make for a great experience. its in an alley, awesome patio with plenty of sun in the afternoon and heaters at night, its tiny, they have a copper tree with hanging mugs (which i stare at and wish so hard i was in on) they play great tunes, they have sick stickers, they have board games and dominoes, they have cool stuff on the walls and there is occasionally a tamale angel who shows up after the kitchen is closed and sells tamales out of her truck for a dollar... you will be so excited you will try to thank her in espanol and completely embarrass yourself. the only drawbacks to this place are that the booze is spendy, i always spend a million dollars there, it is cash only, (which is actually not a drawback you just gotta get enough before you go) and they close early (which again is prolly a good thing so you stop spending all your money on booze)

thank you SCMB you do good work and we appreciate your efforts, you are what is right with the world.

Nestled in a alley surrounded by winery's is this nice little Gem. Pints cost $3.50 and you have a section of around 6 on tap. the Tap room can get cramped. A local hangout for sure. Kids allowed in and they do have board games for them. The beer has less carb's and is a little more cloudy and earthy. I met Tommy the brewer and he did not have an attitude. Good guy! You bet I will be back when they have Ollie-berry on tap.

I went there and had beer with a client and it was great. Kind of out of the way but had to go since all my friends were talking about it. You can tell the owner takes there time with the product. I will be back. Didnt have anything to eat but next time I will. I will be back.
