We stopped just for lunch on the boardwalk for about an hour. Car window smashed and some small bags stolen. Major bummer. Police unresponsive as if it happens. Frequently.

This was on Pacific Ave which is a major thoroughfare to the boardwalk... so beware!

Great fun. Kids loved the rides. Beautiful beach. Great weather. Parking tricky.😊 we did a day trip. Ate on the boardwalk. Kids rode on all the rides that they were tall enough for. Lots to choose from. Looking from where we parked the lights from the boardwalk on the water were beautiful.

When you visit Santa Cruz California there are 3 major attractions.
The waterfront, the Pier, and The Boardwalk/amusement park.

The boardwalk stretches quite a distance along the waterfront. There are amusements of all kinds here. It is like a small amusement park.
There are rides, games, concessions, attractions, shopping, and food services
In the Summer this place is more lively and happening but we were there in December and there are plenty of things to do and a lot fewer people.

There is a laffing Sal animatronic feature which reminded me of the one I grew up with in Crystal Beach Amusement Park.

There is a lot to do especially for the kids.

During the summer there are live bands, and more attractions.

I’m from north cal and attended UCSC. I’ve graduated many years back but I always come back to SC and the broad walk is one of my reasons. I love this broad walk! I’ll take it over any down south. My boyfriend and I can spend hours on the rides and playing games as well as eating all the tasty food. Honestly one of our favorite and best dates to do.

We walked through the Boardwalk almost at closing time so unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to experience everything. However, the amusement arcade stayed open late and our 2 teenage boys had an absolute blast. There are so many different games, from old school to super modern. The swipe card system is really good, and you can win prizes by playing well. A highlight of our Santa Cruz trip (well, more for the kids than me!).
