I have been coming tho this beach for 4 0 years, it's my beach. You can feel safe to leave your things on the beach unattended while swimming or going to the restroom without your stuff being stolen, but pack things well cause the sea gulls are determined to taste your snacks.

“Fun Day!”

Fun things to do to spend a day - arcade, miniature golf - volleyball outside - right on beach if you want to take a dip. Bowling across the street...

“Sun, sand, food and rides - what more could you ask for?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

The Boardwalk is a great place to enjoy the beach, play a game of valleyball or just sit back and people watch. If you are there for the rides, the best way to work the Boardwalk is to get there early and get a wristband for the rides. If you are there for the food, the Boardwalk has grab and go quick bites (corn dogs, deep fried oreos, twister fries) and the Wharf has sit down dining (chowder, fresh fish, cioppino). My advice: walk the entire length of the Wharf and check out the menus, then go back and eat at your favorite. At the end of the Wharf, check out the sea lions under the Pier and watch the bay for dolphins and otters.
When you've had enough rides and sitting, walk north up the hill past the Dream Inn and follow the path to the Surf Museum. Beautiful walk along the ocean and plenty of spots where you can stop and watch the surfers. Can't wait for the summer concerts to start up again!

Fun walking up and down the boardwalk at sunset. Hanging out with the barking seals down below was pretty cool too!
