Staff, view and music. Great for just reading a book and watching People on the Warf.

Decided to do something different for dinner tonight, usually wouldn't be headed down to the main beach/boardwalk area for dinner, but it was such an (unusually) warm lovely evning, we thought we'd try the restaurant at the Dream Inn. And, it was great! Ambience, view -- amazing! -- food, service, all top quality. I had the Dungeness crab won-ton and sea bass entree. We'll be back, definitely, and soon.

Both my wife and I were hungry after our flight from Denver and asked for a place to eat lunch at our hotel, the Dream Inn, and they asked if we had tried their restaurant. We took a chance and were pleasantly surprized. We had the fish and chips (lightly battered parma-panko) and thought they were just great. I was a bit pricey, but what the heck, it was our first day down here and felt the splurge was worth it. Make sure to wait for happy hour at 3:30 to order your drinks and you'll save a bunch. We ordered a bit early and ended up paying a lot more for our glasses of merlot.

Had lunch here, in what used to be our favorite hotel, but just getting way overpriced for both the rooms and the restaurant. Had fish & chips at lunch, which costs the same as the dinner menu. Portion wise was small, which is OK by me, but not at $15.00...plus they try to fancy it up....come on...it's fish & chips....drinks are on the high side at the bar....and though they promote 'hand crafted' cocktails, I've had much better drinks at dive bars around the bay area where they actually do hand craft them as opposed to using premixes. For a casual Santa Cruz get away, not really the spot to go. For a dressed up, expensive day or night out, go for it.
