Was visiting the Lighthouse and beach on our Santa Cruz stop. Last night we were reading about the area and the article mentioned this place. I kept joking that I was getting a coffee. The family thought I was crazy. But I wasn’t.

As the hubby was visiting the surfing museum, we went down to use restrooms and low and behold was Steamers. We had a cold brew Turkish coffee and Almonds and Dates. And it was what dreams are made of. The cold brew was very tasty with just enough spice and we remembered how much we love dates.

When the hubby walked up, I smiled and held out my cup. And all he said was “You got your coffee.”

Walking along the cliff is an awesome treat for the eyes. Stopping at Steamer Lane Supply is an awesome treat for the taste buds. Cool local vibe - although there are a lot of walk ins like us. But the staff keeps the vibe young and fresh. The food options are diverse and we were able to feed kids to picky adults! We even bought a hat for our younger daughter. Awesome stop!

If you’re out walking or cycling north of Santa Cruz, this is near the surf museum and well worth finding. Out back of a facilities block, it has a small shop front but offers reasonably priced freshly prepared sandwiches, qesadillas , cakes and coffee etc. Nice outside seating area making use of the trees and within a few yards of benches overlooking the sea.

Let me tell you a little secret. Take a walk along the Santa Cruz cliffs and find this place. Low key but damn their Kimchi Dog is flipping delicious.
