Steamer Lane Supply
Ranked #18 of 42 Quick Bites in Santa Cruz

If you’re out walking or cycling north of Santa Cruz, this is near the surf museum and well worth finding. Out back of a facilities block, it has a small shop front but offers reasonably priced freshly prepared sandwiches, qesadillas , cakes and coffee etc. Nice outside seating area making use of the trees and within a few yards of benches overlooking the sea.

Let me tell you a little secret. Take a walk along the Santa Cruz cliffs and find this place. Low key but damn their Kimchi Dog is flipping delicious.

What a wonderful spot for coffee or even a quick lunch. Steamers Lane a local surfing area is right across the street and the Lighthouse is also across the street. And to the rear is a nice walking path. The coffee is good. The pastries locally made. And the sandwiches & quesadillas made right there while you wait. Sitting outside by the ocean, people watching was so enjoyable.

I have passed this location while biking the path along the ocean and have not seen it!
You might have missed it, too!

On my long slow walk, I spotted the sign on the sidewalk advertising "Real food".

I had an egg/bacon tart of some sort. It was the size of a small muffin. So take an egg, add cheese and spices, wrap bacon around the edge to hold it all together and that was my awesome two bite super snack! Maybe I should have taken three bites.

I washed it down with an "agua Fresca" ginger lemon turmeric concoction. This was super refreshing.

The place also sells ice creams, bottled drinks, coffee, other real food, and beach supplies!

There are cafe tables and some large relaxing lounge chairs outside.

Look for the signs on the street.
