We had a short vacation in Santa Cruz and checked Natural Bridges State Park as our first stop. Just a tip to visitors, it is free to park on Delaware Ave which has a direct entrance to the parking lot of the State Park. It only takes you 5 mins from the street to the beach. Parking on the park is $10 per vehicle. The beach is great: long stretch of white sand with the "Natural Bridges". We were surprised by its tide pools: they had sea anemones, sea urchins, fishes, starfish...clams and mussels. You can spend the whole day checking out these little creatures inside these natural aquarium! The park also has restrooms, shaded picnic and BBQ areas with tables and benches. It is a nice place for the whole family.

Natural Bridges is one of the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries on the Central Coast of California, Monterey Bay Area. You can enjoy the beauty of the monarchs as you enjoy a picnic or walk along the beach. The sunsets here are amazing, as you are at the edge of the Pacific Ocean and can experience the sun setting on the Western horizon. You are just steps away from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Wharf.

Can park for free on the street and walk in. Sand very soft. Tide pools. Natural bridge makes for nice photos. Strong currents with a slightly sloping shore, so hold on to little kids playing in the water. Saw a sea otter and a sea lion.

A great place to explore and get close to the nature in the tidepools. A nice small beach with a great view. Stop at the visitor center and learn about the butterflies too!

Near the Seymour Marine Science location; easy parking and nice trails through natural vegetation. Not flat but never too steep.
