“Can't get any better”

This place is just too gorgeous for words. Bring a hoodie if you go early in the morning (best time) or for sunset. It does get a marine breeze and can be damp. This coastline is just one of our national treasures. Don't miss this place if you are in Santa Cruz.

“A convenient oasis of tranquility”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Although it is actually within the generally not so attractive city of Santa Cruz, this state park makes you feel you are on a deserted stretch of North California's coast. Two beautiful rocks, one with a natural hole in it, both covered with sea birds, and a beach suitable fro strolling or even picnicking. Also: if you just want to take a look, the State allows you to park for 20 minutes free of charge.

“Nice beach and tidepools!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Natural Bridges is really two parks in one: a beach with great tidepools and a scenic natural bridge (the other bridges have collapsed over the years), and a eucalyptus grove that hosts monarch butterflies every winter.

The park is very accessible - it's within the city of Santa Cruz - and is a wonderful place to spend an hour or afternoon. The natural bridge is especially spectacular at low tide, particularly when low tide is in the late afternoon.

“Timing Is Everything”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

The beach (which has nice natural bridges) is only okay. The view is nice, but the beach is not meant for "beaching," be that a word. If you time it well, you may get to see the start attraction: The Monarchs! The butterflies are beautiful and their migration is wonderful. The area smells great and the air is clean. There is (or was) even pumpkin ICE CREAM when we went for the fall.

“Beautiful park and beach”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

A real nice place to visit, especially when it is sunny. Adjacent to West Cliff and a nice run to the Warf. Well worth it. One of the better beaches in Northern California.
