Description: Restaurant: Le Chêne French Cuisine is a popular “destination” restaurant on Sierra Highway near Agua Dulce. The restaurant has been delighting customers with fine food and wines for 30 years. Wine: Juan Alonso has established a vineyard adjacent to the restaurant producing truly excellent wines. This wine-growing area was just awarded its own appellation, Sierra Pelona Ridge. The restaurant has large underground wine cellars and boasts one of finest wine lists in California. Even the original mechanic’s pit had been used as a cellar to store wine but was filled in just last year. Weddings, Banquets, and other events: Known as one of the most romantic and unique settings around, Le Chene is the wedding venue of choice for many Santa Clarita, San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley couples, families and wedding planners. The garden is shaded by a canopy of overarching oak branches and the surrounding lawn can easily accommodate theater-style seating, rounds or banquet tables. Garden seating capacity is approximately 300 and the banquet room can seat 100. We serve gourmet French cuisine and we’re known for one of the best wine lists in all of Southern California, guaranteeing the highest quality catering offerings and an event you’ll remember for a lifetime.

I adore this place it's Antelope Valley's JEWEL. Hopefully you pass Michel's dartful eyes for details (honored tradition) slip into the bar and step back into the era when a GOOD BAR meant Great Bartender Delicious Food and Style. Enjoying a Quality wine by the glass. Had Brunch with my family who recently visited Paris France and they felt they were still on holiday with the Onion Soup and Escargot. Thank You Juan,Tom Stephan and all the behind the scenes staff. I'm very grateful for the details. Especially "Black Sambuca".

Le Chene serves the best french cuisine and breakfast brunch. The staff is friendly and no matter what your beverage, it never empties. Highly recommend the breakfast brunch on Sunday's and you can't go wrong with any one of the entrees. Creme Brulee is excellent!!!

I stumbled onto this place exploring the area, and made sure to return. What a great place to brind a date or VIP's. The food would be fine at any west LA bistro, but in this setting (a castle on a mountain/desert highway road) it's an outstanding experience. Historical note: the building was in Steven Speilberg's first-ever film, the made-for-tv movie "Duel." It was used in the famous diner scene, before being converted into Le Chene. Should be at the top of anyone's list of special places for special dining.

the wait staff were wonderful, personable...the food was awful...my lobster was too dry to eat...my husbands veal chop looked lovely but was also overcooked & chewy...we had what was left (most of) packed up to go & left it on the chairs on the way out...maybe they got the hint?...very expensive, but I don't mind paying for good food...too bad this wasn't...

Beautiful little cottage tucked way way away. Great simple French food, excellent wine selection, a bit pricey but a special place.
