“Great BBQ with good atmosphere”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

If you want good local BBQ this is the place. Really good drink selection and bar service. The rolls with a little Rattlers BBQ sauce on the side is my favorite. Our waiter was friendly and the food came out quick. The salad bar has a good selection of fresh vegetables. I will definitely go back.

“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed March 1, 2014 via mobile

Every time we visit LA we never miss a trip to Rattlers. If you like garlic their soft white warm garlic bread rolls are to die for! You can look for specials night - on steaks or ribs. They also do the unlimited salad bar and the most wonderful Santa Clarita Iced Tea cocktail. I would 100% recommend this.

We were seated within ten minutes after arriving on a busy Saturday night. Moments later our server arrived and brought water. The yummy, soft butter and garlic rolls (4) were delayed a few minutes as they finished baking.

We both ordered tri tip. Spouse chose the salad bar; I elected two sides (BBQ beans and creamy cole slaw). A potato is not included but can be ordered in place of a side or the salad bar. I saw several diners returning to their seats with a big plate piled high with salad fixings, spouse included.

Thr tri tip was 1 1/2" thick and cooked perfectly, and lightly bathed in a BBQ sauce. Both of us ate every bit of it.

On the downside the beans appeared to come from a can. They, along with the regular and spicy BBQ sauces, were too sweet and syrupy. Neither they nor the meat had any smoke flavor. The cole slaw was ordinary.

“Love the Tortilla Soup”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I'm not a big fan of BBQ. My husband loves it. But Rattler's has a very delicious tortilla soup that I like. That's all I get there.

“Funky title, great food.”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

On a recent trip to California, we stayed in Santa Clarita. On checking out what was available to eat nearby we came upon Rattler's BBQ. The reviews seemed favourable, so of went, and we are glad we did. Upon entering we discovered an open plan country style interior that was decorated quite imaginatively. All around the restaurant were cowboy boots that were individually decorated, some with cowboys scenes painted on them, others with knives and forks and still others with beads, bedazzled, buttons, flowers etc, you name it someone had decorated a boot with it. They also had cool light fixtures that looked like they were made of wagon wheels and colored bottles, everywhere you looked was something unique to look at. On to the food; we ordered a combination platter. You can choose between two or three meats and choice of sides. We ordered the Tri Tip, the Ribs and Boneless Chicken Breast with the twice baked mashed potatoes and baked beans. We only ordered one combination, and when you factor in the delicious buns that are brought to each table it was plenty between the two of us. All the meat choices were tender, flavorful and had just the right amount of bbq flavor. The service was great, the ambience was fun and a different experience that I would recommend anyone try, especially if you like bbq.
