“A little tired looking, good food”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

Had an evening meal here. A bit like a take out place with inexpensive tables and chairs. Asian food was god though and plentiful. Good for a quick meal but not a place to take someone special unless you want a unimpressive looking place.

“Upscale Asian Fast Food”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

This is fast food asian cooked to order. Excellent service. The food was good and tasty. The portions were generous. It was not that expensive given the portions and service. I just thought that the flavors were a little lacking. The Mongolian Beef was very tasty, but seems to be lacking in heat, but it is listed as mildly spicy. We also had the yellow curry, where the spiciness and flavors seems to be more assertive. The fried bananas should be listed as fried banana as it was only one small banana sliced up, if we did not add the ice cream it would have been a very small dessert. Overall it was a good experience.

“Poor choice for Asian fast food”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Traveling through the area on our way to Monterey we pulled off the highway for a quick lunch. Although the menu here was extensive and the smells were enticing, the food was, frankly, horrible.

My wife had a fairly routine Thai dish (Pad Thai), that was anything but Thai - didn't taste Thai, it wasn't seasoned with Thai seasonings, and the noodles were hard and chewy. It was so tasteless that she ate only 3 or 4 bites.

My dish was teriyaki chicken. Like my wife's dish, mine had zero flavor. The chicken was reasonably tender, the green beans were not cooked at all (I like al dente but these could not have been cooked more than 1-2 minutes), and a huge ration of onion. I ate the chicken but the rest of it simply wasn't worth it.

Speaking of worth it, these lunch meals were $8.99 and $9.99! Not exactly cheap. Perhaps the only notable "value" was the serving size - enormous quantity. I guess the strategy here is to justify the high cost with huge servings, unfortunately of food that lacks any character whatsoever.

Although we did a very quick TA check of this place before going in, we the overall rating of 3.5 stars is WAY out of sync with our experience. The place was packed (true, it was peak lunch time), which astounded me, I just couldn't see why, other than the huge serving sizes.

“Great Chinese”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Awesome hot & sour and szechuan prawns. Great service. Nice place. Prices are decent. Easy walking distance from Hyatt House. Parking can be a problem though.
