Although particular parts of the property seem to transport you to the mid-1990s in style and rooms can be a bit dark, this is truly a superb hotel. The front desk staff do not flag in their attentiveness to your requests and orchestrated for me quality connections; for example, thanks to Embassy Suites, I met a young and enthusiastic chauffeur who was willing to give me a well-considered tour of San Francisco on my second day.
As a traveler who frequents Embassy Suites properties, I didn't have a chance on either day to partake in the afternoon manager's reception, but breakfast on both days hit the spot. Also, with my well-maintained room on the tenth floor, road noise noted in other reviews was practically non-existent. Perhaps the neatest thing about the hotel was this: by booking a premium room, I had unrestricted access to the locked chest of various drinks and snacks. Needless to say, those midnight Snickers bars were delicious.More
