I was pleasantly surprised. No free Wifi in the room, but otherwise was a nice property with what you need: free parking, close to the major roads (but not real loud), free breakfast (not amazing, but solid), friendly people, and the lobby was even nice (cool little fishbowls on the reception desk).

Rooms were pretty big; I had a "living room" with coffee maker and microwave although I didn't use them this trip. Bathroom had a shower/tub and the bedroom also had a flat screen TV like the living room did.

Business center was kept up (2 PCs with wireless internet) and free printing is very much appreciated when you need to print 2 pages of direction.

I noticed just a little noise from the club that is down the street that some people mentioned, but you just have to make sure your window is completely closed. I know it sounds basic, but mine were not completely closed when I got there (looked closed, but had to click it closed) and that made a difference.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again in the future, especially if I got the rate I did this time.

Room Tip: Just make sure you lock your windows to block out any highway or club noise.

Several of us have been attending a large quilt show in Santa Clara in October each year for almost 20 years. After trying several of the other hotels in the area for our 3-night stay, we settled on Embassy Suites about 10 years ago. We like the location, comfort of the suites, and the service staff. We pay a little more than the other hotels charge, but we also get an excellent complimentary breakfast in the lobby -- a nice selection of cold and cooked-to-order foods. Also, in the early evening, we relax with free munchies and beverages of our choice in the lobby. Also complimentary. The suites are spacious, clean, and well kept up. King bed and queen sleeper sofa, microwave, small refrigerator, flat-screen TVs (2), and lots of closet and drawer space.
Highly recommended.

Large rooms. Refrigerator. Breakfast. Restaurant. Bar. Complementary happy hour drinks.

Stayed here 10 days, during the water polo junior olympics. Only down side is that the pool is TINY. Not a "swimming" pool.

Overall this property proved to be worth every cent. We were close to friends, a wedding and a great area. The cocktail hour and the a.m. breakfast were the real draws for us this trip. The hotel starts serving early, which was great for our early out mornings. My one complaint was that the closet in the main bedroom was not able to open to its capacity because it was blocked by a bed???poor design.

Considering the many other hotels in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, this is the place to stay. Rooms seem to have been redone recently; in typical Embassy Suites fashion, they are two room suites. Bedroom (with a king bed) was a bit small, but living room was larger. Refrigerator was included in room. Only issue with the room was the air conditioning: Living room would get nice and cold, bedroom would not.

Stayed on Friday night, and place was packed. Really. Cocktail reception was crowded, but plenty of chips and beverages were offered. Service was efficient.

Parking is convenient and free. There is a McDonalds and other shops a minute's walk away.

If you find yourself in the heart of Silicon Valley, this is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms could have highway noise.

Nice hotel, rooms and location in Santa Clara. I was in town for one night on business and heading home the next morning. Typical Embassy Suites and what I always enjoy about this line of Hilton Hotels. The suite was nice and roomy giving one plenty of room to unwind. I did find it interesting that the hotel didn't have the typical Atrium that Embassy's are known for.

Had a group dinner at El Torito's and as always enjoyed the complimentary cook to order breakfast buffet. I do wish that the internet was free but Embassy hasn't made that part of their amenities which is the only negative that I have about the chain.

Overall, I recommend this Embassy Suites to any traveler going to the Santa Clara area.
