Nice convention center but it needs better interior signage. I got lost trying to walk back to the Hyatt and ended up wandering through the whole convention center.

“Nice little facility”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Not too big not too small, just right for a small to medium sized gathering. Staff was helpful, catering was good and the parking convenient. Only downside was the adjacent hotel (Hyatt Regency Santa Clara), which despite having a very friendly staff should have been put out of its misery years ago. Vintage 1980's blue hallways with dated carpeting. Constant construction noise in the main lobby. The rooms are refreshed, but the furniture is scratched and beat. For close to $200 a nite stay elsewhere.

“Typical older convention center, excellent service staff”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a Pepsi contract venue, but they still sell Diet Coke in cans (at $3 a can) They aren't stingy about giving you a cup of ice either. If you aren't eating during the busy times, the concession foods aren't all that fresh. They do offer veggies and fruit, which I liked. Their monster nachos are huge and looked yummy.
The staff here is excellent, especially security, and wait staff. They could have better signage for the Great America ballroom and meeting rooms as they can be tricky to find.
Convenient to the airport. Expect $22 one way.
No food or convenience stores nearby, so plan accordingly, if you don't want to overpay for concessions.

Attended a tech convention and found the center to not only be convenient to Santa Clara, but central to transportation and local places to eat.

“Beautiful Convention Center and the parking was free!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I attended the Pacific International Quilt Festival here and was very surprised to not have to pay for parking. I don't know of any convention centers near where I live that have free parking. The decor in the lobby was inviting, and there were places to sit and relax.
