Dining at Lure requires planning because they do not take reservations -- we wouldn't show up at 7:00 PM on a Saturday evening, for example. But the fish is just so great, it's worth managing our visits. And their waitstaff must be the best in town. SO friendly, SO knowledgable about everything on the menu, SO accommodating! On our most recent visit, we had charbroiled oysters (a MUST) and their "special selection" fish -- "Lock Etive Steelhead." Everything was great! So, choose your day and time carefully and go enjoy the best fish in Santa Barbara!

We enjoyed our visit. The crab fish cake starter was very nice and thumbs up too for the trout almond and the spicy shellfish pasta.

The blackberry cobbler was also good.

The service was quick but a negative around this in that our main course started arriving before everyone had finished their starters and no side bowl / plate for the shells in the seafood pasta.

Other than that a nice meal that also gave us a good shopping opportunity at Maceys next door!

We just happened to be in the neighbourhood of this relatively new restaurant and were encouraged to give it a try. Even in the early evening it was quite packed, but with the help of a very friendly waitress we were seated in the very comfortable outside area. We had judged that the interior was much too noisy for us. The service was both helpful and efficient, the food and choice of wine excellent. We regard this as a great addition to the Santa Barbara restaurant scene.

We decided to do an early dinner at Lure's Fish House. We sat at the Oyster Bar to enjoy the Happy Hour menu. Let me say, if you are in the area you need to make it a point to eat here. We plan to be back to Santa Barbara because of the food experience.

We give this place !!! We ordered from the happy hour menu the crab cakes, calamari and the charbroiled oysters. The crab cakes with the corn coleslaw salad was delicious. I would have never imagined to pair crab cakes with the corn coleslaw salad. The flavors were amazing. The charbroiled oysters were so full in flavor and the smell almost made me want more. Andrew had the wild Ono entree. The fish was really good and it was my first time tasting that fish. It was good and meaty. However, my entree was so much better since I had the lobster ravioli. The creamy cheesy sauce paired deliciously. We some how made room for dessert which we went on Wyatt's recommendation of the blueberry cobbler a la mode. OMG is the only way to describe it. Loved it!!

The whole experience was wonderful, but a huge part was due to the two guys behind the oyster bar. Their service was delightful and attentive. They were swamped with oyster bar orders but they worked seamless back there. That's what I call great communication and service.
